Mark Fox is a strategic communications executive with a gift for helping organizations advance their objectives by telling stories that change minds.

Fox applies his broad communications experience and writing skills to find and create opportunities for Nomadics clients to differentiate themselves in the outdoor recreation, tourism and lifestyle industries. Working with the Nomadics team and the client’s senior leadership, Fox plans and executes campaigns, programs and projects that both build community around the brand and drive the business forward.

As a writer, Fox has a knack for storytelling and the ability to make complex issues understandable. These traits allow him to create powerful internal and external messaging for Nomadics clients ranging from media releases, social media posts and op-ed pieces to HR handbooks and corporate social responsibility reports.

His stellar organizational skills ensure that client initiatives happen on time, in budget, and with maximum impact.

Fox, who has a deep background in public affairs, also helps Nomadics clients understand the importance and benefit of developing strategies to engage in today’s transformative social issues, including environmental sustainability and diversity and inclusion.

Before joining Nomadics in 2018, Fox served as an Account Manager at Nyhus Communications, a Seattle-based public affairs firm. In that role, his portfolio included clients in the non-profit, trade, real estate, food and beverage, and manufacturing industries. Fox managed teams and initiatives that supported his clients’ objectives, primarily in public affairs, regulatory issues and crisis communications.

Fox’s career also includes time as a Legislative Assistant to the Washington State Senate, and a stint as Deputy Field Director of the Approve R-74 campaign, the successful effort to uphold Washington State’s marriage equality law in a statewide referendum.

Mark Fox is a graduate of Seattle University where he was a Korematsu Undergraduate Fellow and an Americorps volunteer. Fox lives in Seattle with his golden doodle, Hudson. In his off-hours Fox enjoys cooking, reading cookbooks, and attending live music shows. He spends perhaps too much time wandering Seattle’s vintage record stores in search of suitable additions to his collection of vinyl LPs.
